nokihiragawara 軒平瓦

Also *karakusagawara 唐草瓦; *hanahiragawara 端平瓦. A broad, concave, eaves-end tile with a decorative pendant attached. It alternates with a half-round eaves-end tile which has a decorated circular disk pendant *gatou 瓦当 attached. See *nokigawara 軒瓦; *nokimarugawara 軒丸瓦. The nokihiragawara and the nokimarugawara are also placed along the edge of a roof which extends beyond the bargeboards of a hip-and-gable roof.
