The Asia Future Conference is pleased to announce that we have the following awards, scholarships, and special subsidies available to foster your participation in our conference.

A: Best Paper Awards

• The Best Paper Awards will be given to 20 papers selected by the AFC Academic Committee from the full papers submitted before March 31, 2026. Abstracts of these papers must be submitted before September 20, 2025 and accepted.
• An award certificate, souvenir, and $300 prize will be given to the author or a representative of the author group, and registration and accommodation (shared room) fees and travel expenses will be subsidized. If the author or representative of the author group has paid the registration and accommodation fees before the announcement, they will be refunded at the conference venue.
• Best Papers will be included in the edited volume “Toward the Future of Asia: My Proposal Vol.8” to be published after the Conference.
• Oral presentation of the paper and attendance during the Awards and Closing Ceremony is required for Best Paper awardees. The award will be retracted if the author cannot attend AFC in person. In the case of unavoidable circumstances, the author can ask for special permission from the Organizing Committee in writing.
• Papers that have already been published are not eligible. If your paper is already published, please indicate it in the abstract and paper.
• Those who have been awarded AFC Best Paper Awards in the past are not eligible.

• Best Paper Selection Policies

Submitted full papers will be evaluated based on the following 5 criteria. If a paper does not follow the Paper Format Guide, it will be removed from the selection.

1. Does this paper contribute to the AFC? Is the theme of this paper in accordance with the AFC#8 theme “Space and Distance ~ Crossing, Closing, Creating ~”?

2. Is this paper perspicuous and persuasive?

3. Is this paper original and innovative?

4. Does this paper hold international aspects in some points?　

5. Does this paper have an interdisciplinary approach?

B: Best Presentation Awards

• The Best Presentation Awards will be given to one presenter from each parallel session, based on the recommendations by session chairs.
• There will be no Best Presentation Awards in the sessions arranged by groups of presenters.
• An award certificate and souvenir will be given to the Best Presentation.

C: AFC Scholarship

• The AFC scholarship waives both registration and accommodation fees (shared room) and will be available on an application basis for 50 selected promising researchers.
• Those who want to apply for this scholarship must submit an abstract for a full paper before September 20, 2025. The scholarship announcement and application form will be issued to authors together with the acceptance notice. The AFC Academic Committee will send the selection results to all applicants by January 20, 2026.
• The scholarship grant of selected researcher/s who fail to submit full papers on or before March 31, 2026 will be automatically cancelled.
• Short papers are not eligible for this scholarship.
• Published papers are not eligible. If your paper has already been published, please indicate it in the abstract and paper.

D: AFC Special Subsidy

 (For scholars from Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam)

• Thanks to designated donations, AFC Special Subsidies are available for presenters who are nationals of one of the above 4 countries and who live in the same country. The AFC Special Subsidies are given to 10 scholars each from Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
• The AFC Special Subsidy will waive both registration and accommodation fees (shared room) and the recipients will receive $300 in cash at the conference venue to partially cover travel costs.
• Those who have been awarded the AFC Special Subsidy in the past are not eligible.
• The recipient of the AFC Special Subsidy will not be awarded an AFC Scholarship.
• The application and selection process for the AFC Special Subsidy is different from the AFC Scholarship.
• Those who want to apply for this subsidy must submit an abstract for a full paper before September 20, 2025, and accepted before October 31, 2025.
• The announcement and application form will be available from the AFC webpage before October 31, 2025.

E: Tohoku Special Subsidy for Local Scholars

• The Tohoku Special Subsidy waives both registration and accommodation fees (shared room) and will be available for 30 selected promising researchers.
• The application and selection process for the AFC Special Subsidy is different from the AFC Scholarship.
• The Tohoku Special Subsidy will be announced separately by the Tohoku Gakuin AFC8 Hosting Committee to the universities in the Tohoku Region of Japan.

F: Raccoon Scholarship and Raccoon Session Subsidies (for former Atsumi Scholarship Recipients)

• Raccoon scholarships are available for the members of the Raccoon Association and will be announced separately.

アジア未来会議では、多くの方々に参加していただくために、以下のように、優秀賞、奨学金、特別補助金を用意しています。

A：優秀論文賞

• 2026年3月31日までに提出された論文から、AFC学術委員会が選出した20本の論文に授与されます。論文の発表要旨は、2025年9月20日までに提出され、受理されなければなりません。
• 著者または著者グループの代表者に賞状、記念品、300ドルの賞金を授与し、登録料、宿泊費（相部屋）および旅費を全額補助します。発表前に著者または著者グループの代表者が登録料および宿泊料を支払った場合は、大会会場にて返金します。
• 優秀論文は、大会終了後に発行される論文集『アジアの未来へー私の提案Vol.8』に収録されます：「私の提言Vol.8」に掲載されます。
• 受賞者は、会議場にて論文を口頭発表し、表彰式に出席しなければなりません。出席できない場合は賞は取消になります。やむを得ない事情がある場合は、実行委員会に特別許可を書面で申請することができます。
• 既にジャーナル等に発表された論文は選考対象にはなりません。既発表である場合はその旨発表要旨と論文に明記してください。
• 過去にAFC 優秀論文賞を受賞された方は対象外です。

• 優秀論文選考の方針

提出された論文は、以下の5つの基準で評価されます。また、投稿規定に反するものは除外されます。

1. 本論文のテーマは、AFC#8のテーマ「空間と距離：こえる、縮める、つくる」に沿ったものであるか。

2. わかりやすくて説得力があるか。

3. 独創性と革新性があるか。

4. 国際性があるか。

5. 学際性があるか。

B：優秀発表賞

• 優秀論文賞は、一般セッションの座長の推薦に基づき、各分科会から1名の発表者に贈呈します。
• グループセッションには、優秀論文賞は設けません。
• 優秀発表には、賞状と記念品が贈られます。

C: AFC奨学金

• 応募者の中から選ばれた50名の「将来有望な」研究者に対して、登録費と滞在費（相部屋）を全額補助するAFC奨学金を提供します。
• 希望者は、2025年9月20日までに発表要旨（abstract）をオンライン投稿してください。発表要旨の合格通知の中に、奨学金の申し込み案内が含まれています。奨学金の希望者は、その案内に従って申し込んでください。選考結果は2026年1月20日までに応募者全員に通知します。
• AFC奨学金に合格しても2026年3月31日までに論文のオンライン投稿がない場合は、アジア未来会議における発表と奨学金を辞退したと見なします。
• 小論文はAFC奨学金の選考対象にはなりません。
• 既にジャーナル等に発表された論文は選考対象にはなりません。既発表である場合はその旨発表要旨と論文に明記してください。

D：AFC特別補助金

 （インドネシア、フィリピン、タイ、ベトナム出身の奨学生対象）

• 指定寄附によるAFC特別補助金は、上記4カ国に居住し、その国の大学や研究機関に所属する研究者が対象となります。インドネシア、フィリピン、タイ、ベトナムは各10名に授与されます。
• AFC特別補助金合格者は、登録費と滞在費（相部屋）を全額補助します。また、現金$300の補助を会議場で支給します。
• 今までにAFC特別補助金を受給した方は対象外となります。また、AFC特別補助金の受給者は、AFC奨学金を受けられません。
• AFC特別補助金の申請受付と選考はAFC奨学金とは別に各国で行われます。
• この助成金の申請を希望する者は、2025年9月20日までにフルペーパーのアブストラクトを提出し、2025年10月31日までに受理されなければならない。
• 発表と申込書は2025年10月31日までにAFCのウェブページから入手できる。

E: 東北特別補助金

• 東北特別補助金合格者は、登録費と滞在費（相部屋）を全額補助します。この賞は、東北地方の大学に所属する30名の研究者に授与される。
• AFC特別補助金の申請および選考プロセスは、AFC奨学金とは異なります。
• 東北特別補助金については、東北学院AFC8開催委員会より東北地方の大学に別途発表される。

F：ラクーン奨学金・ラクーンセッション補助金（旧渥美奨学金受給者対象）

• ラクーン奨学金・ラクーンセッション補助金（元渥美奨学金受給者対象）
