Also pronounced daibou. A large room 6.7m wide and 12.7m deep constructed in a style customary from about mid-7c to the end 8c. that served as the priests' quarters at a Buddhist temple. particularly A partition provided a small area where an attendant monk, a novice or some one of lower social rank lived.
