A decorative gable pendant *gegyo Œœ‹› used to conceal and protect the ends of purlins in a gable roof. Wakigegyo appear right and left below the bargeboard; a gable pendant placed at the top centre of the bargeboard covering the ridgepiece is known as *omogegyo –{Œœ‹›.
