shukuya 宿屋

A vernacular house *minka 民家, in the style known as *shukuya-zukuri 宿屋造, found in the Hokuriku 北陸 region of Japan. It had a shingled *itabuki 板葺, or tiled *kawarabuki 瓦葺, roof and the accompanying shallow pitch.
