yareigeta　破井桁

Also yabureigeta. Lit. broken well crib. A design used for muntins *kumiko 組子, on sliding screens *shouji 障子, and railings *kouran 高欄. A variation of the parallel-cross pattern *igeta 井桁. Used for muntins that do not run across the whole length or width of the screen or railing, but are broken off at intervals.
