Pillars with uchikoribi are also found on shelters, suibansha …”ΥŽΠ, built over the places of purification at Rinnouji Taiyuuin —Φ‰€Ž›‘ε—Q‰@, built in the mid-17c, in Nikkou “ϊŒυ, Tochigi prefecture. Uchikorobi pillars are also used on a building called Eizanji ‰hŽRŽ›, an Eight-sided Hall Hakkakudou ”ͺŠp“° (757) Nara. Generally, these pillars were not used for buildings such as temple halls or a vernacular houses.
