Also called tobiradoori 扉通. The alignment of gate pillars, *hashira 柱, and the tie beam, *nuki 貫, in a straight line. The gate doors are placed along this line. Posts placed in front and /or behind the aligned gate pillars and are attached to them at angles of 900 deg. or 450. are called *hikaebashira 控柱. These posts stabilize and sustain the line of gate pillars.
