Also pronounced togumi, sometimes written 枡組. Synonyms are *tokyou 斗きょう or kumimono 組物. 1　A bracket complex. A system of bearing blocks and bracket arms which can be very simple or intricate. 2　Structuring the framework of sliding doors and screens *shouji 障子, *fusuma 襖, or transoms *ranma 欄間 in a square shape.
