kokoboshi shiki-ishi　小零し敷石

Lit. small scattered paving stones. A type of round-stone paving *tama-ishijiki 玉石敷 characterized by small round stones that are set into the path in a free style. It is one method of *ararekoboshi 霰零し paving and is used in *souan 草庵 style gardens.
