| A method used to determine the proper width of a veranda. The technique positions the outer edge of the veranda in direct line with the flying rafter support *kioi 木負, or when there was no flying rafter support, with the outer ends of the line of rafters. Although skilled carpenters used this method, a plumb line is also used. | ||||||
