kazaribusshi　餝仏師

Also shougon busshi 荘厳仏師. Artists who made metal and jewelled ornaments for Buddhist statues. These ornaments included crowns *houkan 宝冠, strings of jewels *youraku 瓔珞 and bracelets *kansan 鐶釧. Kazaribusshi formed part of a team of specialists working in Buddhist sculpture workshops *bussho 仏所 established in the 11c and active until the 19c.
