jikuana　軸穴

Also 軸孔; jikuzuriana 軸吊穴; jiku-uke 軸受; tobirajikuana 扉軸穴. The socket into which the pivot hinge *jikuzuri 軸吊 is inserted. Such sockets are made on the top and bottom edges of a plank on panelled doors and on the vertical framing or stiles *kamachi 框, of doors or gates. In 7-16c, the socket was frequently called *toboso 枢.
