1@A generic term for any group of structural members set in a grid pattern.
@ 2@The grid pattern formed by the trim on the doors of gate in a mud wall *heijuumon »dε. The term igeta is often indiscriminately used for trimming in a diamond-shaped pattern hishi-igeta Hδ , on doors or transoms *ranma Τ. If there is a break in the span of the grid pattern, it is called *yareigeta jδ (broken grid) The first character, means well ; the second means purlin or beam *keta . Thus, igeta means the upper-most frame built on the square side of a well crib. |
