Important Announcement from the Asia Future Conference
- Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, the 6th Asia Future Conference (AFC 6) will be postponed by a year and take place in 2022. Although Taiwan – the venue for the conference – has managed to control the spread of the virus, we have decided to postpone the conference in the hopes that participants from overseas may be able to enter the country and participate in person.The new and revised schedule for the 6th Asia Future Conference
Date: August 26, 2022 (Friday) – August 30, 2022 (Tuesday) (including days of arrival and departure)
Venue: Chinese Culture University (Taipei)
Program: Keynote lecture, symposium, panel sessions (oral presentations), study tours, welcome party, closing party, awards for Best Papers (AFC#6B), awards ceremony, etc.Due to the postponement of the conference a pre-conference will be held instead. Leading up to the conference in 2022, there will be two rounds of evaluation for abstracts as well as scholarships and Best Papers.Evaluation for AFC #6A
Accepted abstracts submitted by the original deadline of September 20, 2020 are currently under consideration for the AFC #6A Best Paper and scholarship awards. The results for this will be announced according to the original schedule. Do note that in order to receive the AFC #6A scholarship your full paper must be submitted by March 31, 2021.The 20 papers selected as the AFC #6A Best Papers will be presented online for the pre-conference on August 26, 2021, as well as published in the edited volume “Toward the Future of Asia: My Proposal Vol. 6A.”
Recipients of the AFC #6A scholarship and Best Paper awards will be invited to the conference to be held in 2022, and all registration and accommodation fees will be covered.
All other papers will be presented at the conference to be held in 2022. Papers not selected as Best Papers for AFC #6A will automatically be considered for the Best Papers of AFC #6B. If you were not selected for the scholarship for AFC #6A you may apply once again for AFC #6B.
Evaluation for AFC #6B
Abstracts submitted between September 21, 2020 and August 31, 2021 are eligible for the AFC #6B scholarship and Best Paper awards. Papers for accepted abstracts will be presented at the conference to be held in 2022. Recipients of the AFC #6B scholarship and Best Paper awards will be invited to participate in the 2022 conference and have all registration and accommodation fees covered. The Best Papers from AFC #6B will be published in the edited volume “Toward the Future of Asia: My Proposal Vol. 6B.”General submissions
Submissions for papers not eligible for the scholarship or Best Paper awards will be accepted up until February 28, 2022. Papers that are accepted will be orally presented at the conference to be held in 2022.Please check the AFC website for the updated schedule under the sections “General Information” and “Call for Papers.”
