Also yanagikakekugi –φŠ|‚―“B. A nail hammered into a partially plastered post yanagibashira –φ’Œ (see *youjibashira —kŽq’Œ), usually found in a 4 1/2 mat tea ceremony room *chashitsu ’ƒŽΊ. The nail is hammered into the upper part of the post (the unplastered part) and a hanging flower vase is hung from it. According to Sen Soutan η@’U (1578-1658) the nail gets its name from springs of willow draped from the nail at New Years. Examples can be seen at Yuuin –”‰B at Urasenke — η‰Ζ, and Onigawara-no-seki ‹SŠ’Θ at Koudaiji ‚‘δŽ› both in Kyoto.
