Tradition has it that Hon'ami Koetsu –{ˆ’–νŒυ‰x used this type of ceiling over the 6 mat interior of the Daikoan ‘ε‹•ˆΑ tea cottage built in Takagamine ‘ιƒ–•τ, Kyoto.
