sannoji kuzushi 　三の字崩

A type of decorative pattern used for muntins on transoms, *ranma 欄間. The design consists of alternating sets of three parallel straight lines, and is based on the character 三 san. A diagonal version of the same design is called kakubishi sannoji kuzushi 角菱三の字崩.
