銘木. Timber from the tropics including red sandalwood (rosewood), ebony, ironwood,
white sandalwood and teak. Although, Kara 唐, literally means Tang Chinese, it
actually refers to any wood that is rare and beautiful. This kind of tropical
wood is used for alcoves, *toko
床 particularly the front frame, *kamachi
框, of the alcove or a portable cupboard or tea shelf. |
