| Short for warabidegata suihotsu nθ`―. Strands of hair *suihotsu ―, which hang down both shoulders. The strands are of various lengths, symmetrical on both sides, and curl up at the tips. This style was used (4-6c) on Bodhisattva images in Northern .Wei period in China, and on *bosatsu μF and *ten V images created in the Asuka period in Japan (late 6-early 7c). Good examples include the Miroku Bosatsu νθΣμF in Chuuguuji {, and the Kannon Bosastu ΟΉμF@in *Yumedono ²a, Houryuuji @², Nara. | ||||||
