| Short for warabidegata suihotsu nθ`―. Strands of hair *suihotsu ―, which hang down both shoulders. The strands are of various lengths, symmetrical on both sides, and curl up at the tips. This style was used (4-6c) on Bodhisattva images in Northern Wei period in China, and on *bosatsu μF and *ten V images created in the Asuka period in Japan. Good examples include the Miroku Bosatsuzou νθΣμF in Chuuguuji {, and the Kannon Bosastuzou ΟΉμF (see *Guze Kannon ~’ΟΉ) in Houryuuji *Yumedono @²²a, Nara. | ||||||
