Also asanikubori 浅肉彫, asaukibori 浅浮彫, teiukibori 低浮彫, usuukibori 薄浮彫. A type of relief *ukibori 浮彫 in which an image projects from a flat surface in low relief. Used to depict Buddhist images in a variety of media including stone, clay, tile, and bronze.
