tobibari　飛梁

Also called tobimono 飛物 or hiryou 飛梁. A beam that extends from the eave purlin, *nokigeta 軒桁, to the first transverse beam, *hari 梁, of a roof framework in order to carry struts for shorter purlins, *moyageta 母屋桁.
