| Also toudaishaku εΪ or tenpyoushaku
V½Ϊ. An ancient unit of measure, approximately 29.6cm. Renamed *shoushaku
¬Ϊ in the Taihouryou εσί codes of 701. However, shoushaku was then scaled
down to 25.25cm in 713, and the original 29.6cm toujaku was known as *taishaku
εΪ. This measurement was slightly shorter than the *kanejaku
ΘΪ, which later became the standard measure of length. |
