1　One of the purlins used in a hidden roof *noyane 野屋根 structure. It is supported by struts *tsuka 束, and attached to the footplate or base tie-beam doigeta 土居桁, that is placed over the base rafters. 2　Another name for a pole plate *hanamoya 鼻母屋.
