A ceiling covered in a mesh made from solid stems of bamboo kanchiku Š¦’|, black bamboo hachiku ’W’|, the horsetail plant tokusa –Ψ‘―, ditch reed yoshi δΡ or bush clover hagi ”‹. These very slender stems are bound or plaited together with cord. Used in tearooms, particularly those of the rustic *souan ‘ˆΑ style.
