Lit. eave ends. The eave ends of a tiled roofed building which are usually obscured by decorated pendant tiles *hira karakusagawara 平唐草瓦. With other types of roofing, the eave ends are usually covered by fuscia boards *hanakakushi-ita 鼻隠板.
