Lit. chopping board format. An extremely large size of wood-block *ukiyo-e 浮世絵 print that is approximately 60 X 121 cm. Extant examples are very rare. Later copies indicate that the subject was usually the scene in and around a *kabuki 歌舞伎 theater.
