The Chinese term for the dry lacquer technique, pronounced jiazhu in Chinese. In ancient Japanese documents dry lacquer was referred to as *soku ‘¦, but the term *kanshitsu Š£Ž½ is used today. Coffins made in the dry lacquer technique were called kyouchokan šργIŠ».
