komasu 小斗

A generic term for bearing blocks that are smaller than the largest type placed on top of a pillar *daito 大斗. They include: a bearing block set on a bracket arm *makito 巻斗; a bearing block used at the outer end of corner bracket arm *kikuto 菊斗; a bearing block that is used in the center of a bracket arm to receive bracket arms from four directions like a cross *houto 方斗.
