keshou-ita　化粧板

Also read keshouban; also keshouzai 化粧材. A planed timber. Keshou-ita are normally exposed to view. The term is used in contrast to a rough, unplaned timber *no-ita 野板, usually is used where it is not seen, for example, in the roof framework above the ceiling.
