ichi-no-ji tsunagi　一の字繋

A decorative pattern used for muntins on sliding doors *shouji 障子, and transoms *ranma 欄間. It consists of the pattern formed by a wall of rectangular bricks. A variation of this pattern is known as *ichi-no-ji kuzushi 一の字崩.
