fukiyose　吹寄

1　The arrangement of muntins, lattice *fukiyose goushi 吹寄格子, ceiling ribs *goubuchi 格縁 or *saobuchi 竿縁, rafters *fukiyose daruki 吹寄垂木, or similar structured elements in sets of two, three or more with a wide space between one group and the next. See *koshidaka shouji 腰高障子. 2　Also yosebuki 寄吹, *igarakuri 鋳繰. A method of metal casting *chuukin 鋳金, where parts of a statue such as the head, left and right sides of the body, left and right arms, and so on, were cast separately and then joined together. The opposite of *marubuki 丸吹 where a statue was cast in one piece.
