enshuugaki　遠州垣

Lit. Eshuu gate. A type of projecting fence *sodegaki 袖垣 featuring upper and lower bamboo bars (called *tamabuchi 玉縁 and *oshibuchi 押縁 respectively) attached with bracken cords. It is associated with tea master Kobori Enshuu 小堀遠州 (1579-1647).
