Abstracts of these papers must be submitted before August 31, 2023 and accepted.<\/li>\n<li>An award certificate, souvenir, and $300 prize will be given to the author or a representative of the author group, and registration and accommodation (shared room) fees will be subsidized. If the author or representative of the author group has paid the registration and accommodation fees before the announcement, they will be refunded at the conference venue.<\/li>\n<li>Best Papers will be included in the edited volume \u201cToward the Future of Asia: My Proposal Vol.7\u201d to be published after the Conference.<\/li>\n<li>Oral presentation of the paper and attendance during the Awards and Closing Ceremony is required for Best Paper awardees. The award will be retracted if the author cannot attend AFC in person. In the case of unavoidable circumstances, the author can ask for special permission from the Organizing Committee in writing.<\/li>\n<li>Papers that have already been published are not eligible. If your paper is already published, please indicate it in the abstract and paper.<\/li>\n<li>Those who have been awarded AFC Best Paper Awards in the past are not eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 10px;\"><b>Best Paper Selection Policies<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Submitted full papers will be evaluated based on the following 5 criteria. If a paper does not follow the Paper Format Guide, it will be removed from the selection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 10px;\">1. Does this paper contribute to the AFC? Is the theme of this paper in accordance with the AFC#7 theme &#8220;Revitalization and Reconnection&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 10px;\">2. Is this paper perspicuous and persuasive?<\/p>\n<p>3. Is this paper original and innovative?<\/p>\n<p>4. Does this paper hold international aspects in some points?<\/p>\n<p>5. Does this paper have an interdisciplinary approach?<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 10px;\"><b>B: Best Presentation<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Best Presentation Awards will be given to one presenter from each general session, based on the recommendations by session chairs.<\/li>\n<li>There will be no Best Presentation Awards in the sessions arranged by groups of presenters.<\/li>\n<li>An award certificate and souvenir will be given to the Best Presentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 10px;\"><b>C: AFC Scholarship<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The AFC scholarship waives both registration and accommodation fees (shared room) and will be available on an application basis for 50 selected promising researchers.<\/li>\n<li>Those who want to apply for this scholarship must submit an abstract for a full paper before August 31, 2023. The scholarship announcement and application form will be issued to authors together with the acceptance notice. The AFC Academic Committee will send the selection results to all applicants by January 20, 2024.<\/li>\n<li>The scholarship grant of selected researcher\/s who fail to submit full papers on or before March 31, 2024 will be automatically cancelled.<\/li>\n<li>Short papers are not eligible for this scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>Published papers are not eligible. If your paper has already been published, please indicate it in the abstract and paper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-top: 10px;\"><b>D: AFC Special Subsidy<\/b><\/p>\n<p>(For scholars from Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thanks to designated donations, AFC Special Subsidies are available for presenters who are nationals of one of the above 3 countries and who live in the same country. The AFC Special Subsidies are given to 10 scholars each from Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.<\/li>\n<li>The AFC Special Subsidy will waive both registration and accommodation fees (shared room) and the recipients will receive $300 in cash at the conference venue to partially cover travel costs.<\/li>\n<li>Those who have been awarded the AFC Special Subsidy in the past are not eligible.<\/li>\n<li>The recipient of the AFC Special Subsidy will not be awarded an AFC Scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>The application and selection process for the AFC Special Subsidy are different from the AFC<br \/>\nScholarship.
