Commonly double-penetrating, diagonally placed beams that connect the main post *honbashira –{’Œ and a secondary post sanebashira Žΐ’Œ, to which the thick, heavy door of a storehouse *dozou “y‘  is attached. Yaguranuki also are used to brace the corners of eave purlins *gagyou ŠΫŒ…. When yaguranuki are not doubled, corner braces hiuchinuki ‰Ξ‘ΕŠΡ of about 12cm by 16cm, usually made of pine, are used to tighten and strengthen them.
