Short for warabidegata suihotsu ˜nŽθŒ`‚”―. Strands of hair *suihotsu ‚”―, which hang down both shoulders. The strands are of various lengths, symmetrical on both sides, and curl up at the tips. This style was used (4-6c) on Bodhisattva images in Northern Wei period in China, and on *bosatsu •μŽF and *ten “V images created in the Asuka period in Japan. Good examples include the Miroku Bosatsuzou –νθΣ•μŽF‘œ in Chuuguuji ’†‹{Ž›, and the Kannon Bosastuzou ŠΟ‰Ή•μŽF‘œ (see *Guze Kannon ‹~’ŠΟ‰Ή) in Houryuuji *Yumedono –@—²Ž›–²“a, Nara.
