uchinorinuki 内法貫

A penetrating tie beam *nuki 貫, placed directly on top of a door or window track *kamoi 鴨居, behind, and usually hidden by, the non-penetrating tie beam called uchinori nageshi 内法長押. Illustration B shows the post is attached to track by a butterfly spline joint chigiri 千切 spline.
