Also hanchiku 班竹, madaradake まだらだけ, buchidake ぶちだけ,tanbahanchiku タンバハンチク, kohanchiku コハンチク. A type of black bamboo hachiku 淡竹 (Phyllostachis Nigra) with brown spiral or cloud-shaped marks on the surface of the stalk. The patterned bamboo is used for rafters *taruki 垂木, and ceiling poles tenjou saobuchi 天井竿縁.
