uchikaeshi 打返し

Also pronounced uttegaeshi 打って返し, utasegaeshi 打たせ返し. Perfect symmetry on both sides of a center line. Refers especially to the incline and length of the front and rear roofs on either side of a building's ridge *munagi 棟木, which is thought of as the center line. It can also apply to the facade of a building which is identical on either side of an imaginary vertical center line.
