tsukemen kurigata　付け面繰形

Lit. attached surface molding. An incised or molded decoration *kurigata 繰形, applied to the edge of an exposed architectural member such as a nosing, *kibana 木鼻, or rainbow beam *kouryou 虹梁. The decoration is made from a separate piece of timber and then attached to the member. A molding carved from the same timber is called *tsukuridashi kurigata 作り出し繰形.
