1 Metal fittings for a door. One is attached to the side of the door frame closest to the pillar or post. The other is connected to the pillar itself. Their circular parts fit together, one above the other, to allow a pivot *jiku 軸, to be inserted to create the pivot hinge *jikuzuri 軸吊.

2 A metal ring attached to a door to allow it to be pulled opened or closed is called tsubogane 壷金. See *hishaku kanamono 柄杓金物.
