Also called toyose 戸寄. A door stop.

1 A thin strip of wood attached to and projecting from the door frame to prevent the door from swinging beyond the point of closure.

2 A thin strip of wood attached to the inside edge of one sliding door so that the one that slid toward it will close without passing it.
