A set of decorative shelves used in an alcove. A single, high shelf with enclosed sliding doors is constructed slightly below the ceiling, tenbukurodana 天袋棚, and resting on the floor below is a table-shaped shelf with upward curving sides, supported by legs. The remainder of the space in the alcove has no shelving.
