sokujou 触杖

Also called a sunakake 砂かけ, sunasukui 砂掬い, and ezue え杖. Also written 束杖. A thin wooden board used to sweep the sand in the toilet area *sunasetchin 砂雪隠 or *shitabara setchin 下腹雪隠 of the tea garden *roji 露地. Typically it is about 89cm long.
