Also called shimozan 下桟. The bottom piece on paneled doors *karado 唐戸. The same pieces on sliding doors are called surizan 摺桟. On the doors of *kabukimon 冠木門, a type of gate, the lowest rail is called *shitazurizan 下摺桟.
