shibayama chouzubachi 　芝山手水鉢

Lit. brushwood mountain. A type of rustic water basin *chouzubachi 手水鉢, supposedly favored by Sen Rikyuu 千利休 (1522-91). The best example is found in the garden *roji 露地 of Myoukian 妙喜庵, Kyoto.
