saikondou　西金堂

An image hall *kondou 金堂 situated to the west of a pagoda in temple grounds. Examples: Asukadera 飛鳥寺 (7c), and Kawaharadera 川原寺 (7c), Nara (both temple arrangements are known from excavations of sites).
