Also called rokkaku yane ˜ZŠp‰®ª. A six-sided roof that covers an hexagonal building *rokkaku endou ˜ZŠp‰~“°. Each section of the roof has a triangular shape so that the apex of each triangle meets at the peak. In order to protect against leaks, a box-like form *roban ˜I”Õ, is placed over the top of the peak. This serves as a base for further ornamentation.
