Also called sagekama ‰ΊŠ™. A commonly used half-blind, gooseneck tenon *kama Š™ and mortise corner joint. The gooseneck-shaped tenon *hozo ‚Ω‚Ό is inserted from above at right angle into an identically shaped mortise *hozoana ‚Ω‚ΌŒŠ. It is commonly used to join beams *nuki ŠΡ, and posts *hashira ’Œ, and also to connect the upper-most horizontal member of the frame and the vertical stile of a plank-door. One example is a plank-door with narrow horizontal lath stretching from one side to the other at close intervals *mairado •‘—ΗŒΛ.
